Bulk Billing

We choose to Bulk Bill all examinations (excluding obstetric ultrasounds greater than 12 weeks gestation) at Transparent Medical Imaging when a patient has medicare eligibility. This aligns with our vision of quality, accessible and affordable healthcare for all. There are some rare scenarios where medicare will not pay for certain tests – we will always discuss this with you prior to your examination.

In the first two years of operations we bulk billed all obstetric ultrasound – in October 2025 we introduced an Out Of Pocket for obstetric scans greater than 12 weeks gestation. In our commitment to accessible and high quality imaging we have kept costs to patients as low as possible.

If you do not possess a valid medicare card you will be required to pay a fee for the examinations. We will then provide you with a receipt for you to claim through your insurance should this be applicable.
